What it is
Machine Hair Strokes (also called Nano Brows) use a single fine needle on a PMU machine to draw hair-like lines through the skin. The result is incredibly realistic—each stroke mimics an individual brow hair in shape, direction and fine detail.
Compared to manual microblading, the machine technique is more precise, less traumatic to the skin, and holds color more consistently over time. The strokes are sharper and more controlled, especially valuable on skin that doesn't hold manual strokes well.
This technique is ideal for anyone who wants a natural, defined brow with realistic texture—not a filled-in or powdered effect.

Prep your skin and brows before your appointment
Avoid anything that sensitizes skin or reduces pigment retention in the weeks before your session.
Come clean and comfortable
Arrive with a bare brow area and a light meal in you. Plan to be at the studio for 2–2.5 hours.
Strokes may disappear during healing—this is normal
The healing process has a ghost phase where strokes look very light or seem to vanish. They come back softer and more natural at 4–6 weeks.
Three details people skim past
Small choices upstream prevent surprises on procedure day— especially around prior pigment, stimulants, and comfort planning.
- 1Oily skin considerations
Machine Hair Strokes work on oily skin but may heal with softer edges compared to dry skin. For very oily skin, Powder Brows or Combo Brows typically give more defined long-term results. Discuss this during your consultation.
- 2Prior microblading or tattooed brows
If you have existing brow tattooing, even if faded, please share photos before booking. Prior pigment in the skin can affect stroke clarity and color outcome.
- 3Touch-up is part of the process
One session gives a good result. Two sessions give the final result. A touch-up at 6–8 weeks after healing is where stroke gaps are filled, direction is refined, and saturation is perfected.
Not every skin type is ideal for this technique—your consultation will determine whether strokes or a hybrid approach will serve you better.
